My family have always been involved in food - from family garden, picking and plucking for work, cooking creatively with the latest seasonal bounty to large-scale manufacturing and farming so it's hardly surprising that I grew up with a fascination and passion for food.
After graduating from The University of Reading with a First class Honours degree in Food Technology and landing a place on the Marks and Spencer graduate scheme I was fortunate to turn my passion for food into a career.
During my time at Marks and Spencer, I had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best brains in the business, working across raw material procurement, chilled convenience, ambient confectionery, foodservice, packaging, innovation and international whilst progressing from graduate to leadership roles with responsibility for a large team.
I've been fortunate to work globally, with innovation, sourcing and technical visits spanning the UK, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and South America and time living and working in North America and India.
